SCRIPTURE: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
We’re in the closing days of the Church age and we have to finish the work of the Lord gloriously before He returns. He said in Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” This is our charge; this is our call; and we’re at it.
While at it, the world will know that the Name of the Lord Jesus is the Name that’s greater than every name, every title and every government. We’ll subdue this world before the Master comes back. Our theme verse says, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.” Then, the “Last Trump” will follow as the signal for our catching away: “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air….” Hallelujah!
Ensure not to miss it. Luke 21:34 says, “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.” Be alert and ready. The Rapture is almost here. It’s the reason we’re preaching the Gospel, preparing the nations for that glorious day. Make no mistakes about it; it’s so close; far closer than many realise.
After the Rapture takes place, the Bible says there “…shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be” (Matthew 24:21). The world is going to be a terrible place to be in during the Tribulation, during the reign of the Antichrist. Jesus said “…except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened” (Matthew 24:22).
For seven years, particularly during the second three and a half years, the Antichrist will rain terror upon the earth. It’ll be a time of great misery beyond anything the world has ever seen or will ever see. But thanks be unto God! After seven years, we’ll come back with the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, to establish a new government of righteousness and peace for a thousand years. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Thank you blessed Father, for your mighty hand upon your Church in these last days, and for the increased grace upon her to proclaim liberty in all the earth. I declare that your Kingdom is established in the earth and in the hearts of men as we preach the Gospel. Many are snatched from destruction and damnation, into the glorious liberty of the sons of God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Luke 21:36 (KJV)Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Ephesians 5:15-16 (AMPC)15 Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), 16 Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil.

SCRIPTURE: Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all (1 Timothy 4:15).
Some people admit to having “blue days”; they’re excited sometimes, and at some other times they’re depressed, unhappy and wish they could end it all. If only such folks could get a hold of the Word and draw their inspiration from the Scriptures; it’ll make all the difference. I’m always inspired and blessed by the Word; I don’t have any blue or down days; I’m on top always; ever inspired!
The Bible says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). Think about that! The Scripture is given by the inspiration of God; that means it’s God breathed. Then it says it’s profitable; meaning it gives you the advantage.
It’s also for doctrine, meaning it teaches and conditions you. It’s for reproof and correction: the Word moulds your character and gives you a new mindset. Finally, it’s an instruction manual for the life of righteousness. No other material could be this good for life. No other material could give you the advantage and inspiration you need to win in life every day.
The seventeenth verse further tells us the result of imbibing the Scriptures, applying yourself diligently to the Scriptures. It says, “That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” The Blessing of the Holy Scriptures! They were given to position you to be very successful, thoroughly furnished unto all good works—excellence; nothing is left out.
I knew from a very young age that I was going to be excellent in my life. I found some things in the Scriptures that gave me the impression—the absolute understanding—that I was going to be very successful. It was like a programmed projectile; I knew where I was going. The Word was given to programme my life for success, for excellence, for prosperity in everything. Didn’t you read about Abraham, Moses and David? These men were successful in everything, through God’s Word.
Likewise, through the inspiration of the Word, you too can be successful, and there’s no question about it. Study the Word for yourself. Give time to meditating on the Scriptures; the result is a life of undeniable success, ever-increasing glory, and unending prosperity. (Read Joshua 1:8 AMPC).
PRAYER
Dear Father, I’m inspired and propelled by your Word; I’m yielded to it, for it’s profitable to me for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. The Word brings perfection, excellence, distinction and quality into my spirit, and with joy, I draw from all the blessings of Christ inherent in the deep recesses of my spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
FURTHER STUDY:
Joshua 1:8 (AMPC)8 This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good [a]success.
Psalm 119:15-16 (KJV)15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. 16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
Psalm 119:47-48 (KJV)47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved. 48 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord (Colossians 3:16).
The Word of God has to be deeply rooted in you for you to enjoy the life of endless victories the Bible talks about. When you’re deeply rooted in the Word, nothing shakes you; you’ll always win, irrespective of the adversities you face. It’s not enough to merely get excited when you hear or study the Word; take some time to meditate.
When you get excited outwardly, let it be because of the victory you’ve seen and obtained in your spirit, and the impact the Word has made on your spirit. The Word impacting your spirit is where the glory is. Consider Moses: After spending forty days and forty nights with God on Mount Sinai receiving the Commandments, the skin of his face shone by reason of the glory of the Word he received from God. To Moses, the commandments weren’t just laws; they were life.
When you deeply contemplate and meditate on the Word, the Word will take a hold of your spirit and impact your physical body, so much so that the glory of God will literally beam from you. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “ But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. ” As you receive the Word, the intensity of the glory in your life is increased!
Read our theme verse again; it says, “ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom... ” (Colossians 3:16). This is the way to keep yourself afire, living in victory always, unshakeable and unmovable, established in Him. Colossians 2:7 AMPC says, “ Have the roots [of your being] firmly and deeply planted [in Him, fixed and founded in Him], being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving. ”
CONFESSION
I cultivate a deep appetite for the Word, in study and meditation. The Word gains the ascendancy in my spirit and causes the glory, excellence, beauties and perfections of God to be seen in and through me. The Word puts me over in life; with the Word in my spirit, and coming forth from my mouth, I serve the Lord faithfully and bring Him glory now and forever, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
FURTHER STUDY
Colossians 2:7 NLT Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Scripture- Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side(Psalm 71:21).
The Lord said to Abraham in Genesis 22:17-18: “…in blessing I will bless thee, and inmultiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars ofheaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore;and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth beblessed....” Indeed, the Lord blessed Abraham andmade him great. You’ll observe the blessing throughseveral generations after him. Isaac, Jacob, David,Solomon all walked in this reality.
David, who was a great king, took it to anothercrescendo; he knew that in greatness there’re levels. So, he prayed, “Thou shalt increase my greatness, andcomfort me on every side” (Psalm 71:21). There’rethree ways of becoming great: you’re either borngreat or you have greatness bestowed on you, or youachieve greatness.
But thanks be unto God! When you were bornagain, you were born great; you were born intothis wonderful family of God, connected with GodAlmighty and the Kingdom of God. You were born the very heir of all the riches and wealth of God’s Kingdom. To walk in this reality, first, you have to live beyondyour senses. All you see isn’t all there is. There’s moreto life than what you see or feel. The Bible says, “Forwe walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7).
Secondly, you must say the same thing in consentwith God as it pertains to your greatness. Just like thepsalmist, make confessions according to the Word andspeak of your greatness. Declare by faith that of yourincrease, there’ll be no end. Henceforth, declare thatthe Lord is increasing your greatness in a significantway. It doesn’t matter what job you do, make it great, because there’s greatness in you. You’re royalty.Hallelujah!
PRAYER
I’m the seed of Abraham; I’m great, and of theincrease of my greatness, there shall be no end. TheLord magnifies me and causes me to wax greater, move forward, advance in leaps and bounds. Mygreatness is unlimited, and great grace for prosperityand superabundance is directed towards me.Hallelujah!

SCRIPTURE: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us (Romans 5:5).
The Bible shows us that “hope” is one of the principles that’ll exist in the world to come. Hope is the ability to expect and to project into the future. Jesus demonstrated hope in His beautiful and inspiring prayer in John 17, as He committed His disciples into the Father’s hands. He said, “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word” (John 17:20).
It’s amazing how Jesus trusted the Father with His hopes for the future of His disciples and those who would believe in Him through their witness. He not only had faith, but hope as well. He looked to the Father, with hope. What an inspiration!
There’s another instance where He demonstrated such great hope. That was when He prayed with great anguish and agony of soul in the Garden of Gethsemane, such that sweat came out of His body like great drops of blood. But I want you to notice the content of His prayers. The Bible says He prayed, “…O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt” (Matthew 26:39).
Jesus was a man of faith, but in this context, He was hopeful. He endured the Cross because of the outcome of His hope. He demonstrated hope while He hung on the Cross; hope even in death! This is the Christ that Paul referred to when he announced, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Now, you’re in Him and can therefore be hopeful in the Father as He was, even in the face of death. Can you be hopeful in prayer that those who openly oppose Christ can truly believe and turn their hearts to Him like Saul of Tarsus, and receive salvation for their souls by the power of the Holy Ghost?
Learn the value of hope. The Word declares that “hope doesn’t disappoint, because of God’s love in our hearts” (Romans 5:5). Be inspired by His hope! That hope, the Bible says, is an anchor for the soul: “That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast…” (Hebrews 6:18- 19). Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, through your Word, I’m hopeful that my victories, triumphs and accomplishments are abiding. I pray for souls around the world, that great grace be directed towards them and that the work of salvation be wrought in their lives as they hear the Gospel, to the praise and glory of your Name. Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY:

SCRIPTURE: For she said, If I may touch but his clothes I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague (Mark 5:28-29).
Part of our theme scripture is the inspiring story of the woman with the issue of blood who pressed her way through an impossible crowd to touch Jesus for a miracle. Jesus wasn’t rattled that the “unclean” woman touched Him without His consent.
Remember, under the Law of Moses, it was unlawful for such a woman to be seen in public, let alone make contact with other people, because she was haemorrhaging; making her unclean. But Jesus, ever so loving and gracious, addressed the woman with such endearment. He said, “…Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace” (Luke 8:48).
Think about the Master’s gracious disposition to this woman! His love is beyond human comprehension; it’s unfeigned and divine. Also, consider how He healed lepers in His day. Luke 5 records a beautiful story of how He touched and healed a certain leper. The Bible says, “And it came to pass… a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him” (Luke 5:12-13).
The Master didn’t get infected from making contact with the infected man; rather, He cured the infection! That’s the kind of person you should emulate. That’s the example to follow, not those who advise you to hide from “viruses” and infections that Jesus gave us the power to heal.
He said in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” I’m inspired by Jesus, and you should be too. Be inspired by His love; be inspired by how he affectionately touched the untouchables of broken humanity in His day, as He still does today; howbeit, through us! Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for your love-nature that’s fully expressed in and demonstrated through me. I manifest your love and divine presence to the sick, the weary and the overburdened today, because I’m an oasis of love; I’m an outflow of relief, ease, refreshment, recreation and blessings to those who are troubled, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Scripture - Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6).
Sequel to our previous study, something elsethat fasting does for you is that it helps youbuild a strong desire. Fasting helps nurse your spiritualhunger or desire for whatever you’re praying about.Gradually, your desire moves from the soul realm tothe spirit realm; it becomes a yearning of the spirit.
Perhaps, you’re a cell leader, fellowship coordinatoror church Pastor and you’re praying for growth in yourchurch or group; there has to be a strong desire forthe increase you’re expecting; otherwise, it may neverhappen. A strong desire attracts to you whatever thesubject of that desire is. Fasting without a definite andclear desire will achieve nothing. Because of your focusin a time of fasting, you’re able to attract through theSpirit, the finer signals, messages and visions of thehigher planes of the spiritual.
As your spirit is thus inspired, you’d be quick toreceive His Word and follow the guidance He givesyou. The Bible says: “The entrance of thy words givethlight; it giveth understanding unto the simple” (Psalm 119:130).
His Word will light up in your spirit andilluminate your path. Suddenly, you just know whatto do, the steps to take that’ll bring about the resultsyou desire.
In the preceding verse of scripture, the word“understanding” is translated from a Hebrew word thatmeans or connotes “the ability to apprehend.” WhenGod’s Word enters your heart, it gives you the abilityto understand diverse subjects and circumstances, suchthat you’d know exactly what steps to take. Learn todevelop a strong desire through fasting, prayer, and anunrelenting commitment to studying and meditatingon the Word of God.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I’m positioned rightly to receive theinstructions, directions and guidance that come tome through the Word as I pray and fast. My spiritis attuned to your signals, and my desire for thepropagation of the Gospel and the salvation of soulsaround the world is fanned aflame; your zeal in meglows even more. I’m sensitive to your direction formy next level of life and ministry, in Jesus’ Name.Amen.

SCRIPTURE: And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes (Daniel 9:3).
Fasting is a spiritual exercise, and it’s one of the vital conditions necessary for effective praying. Fasting isn’t the same as a hunger strike. It’s not about avoiding meals. After all, there’re folks who sometimes wouldn’t eat over a long period of time, probably because they’re busy; that doesn’t mean they’re fasting. Fasting means turning your attention away from food, and turning it to God.
Some people turn away from the food only to busy themselves with activities that don’t enhance their human spirit or help them to focus on God. For your fasting to be effective, you must set your heart on the Lord, on His Word, throughout the duration of the fast, and give quality time to praying in the Spirit.
Fasting, however, isn’t a way of persuading God to do something in your behalf. Fasting doesn’t change God; it changes you; it positions you spiritually so you can receive from Him. For instance, the instruction from the Lord to the apostles that Barnabas and Saul (who later became Paul) should be consecrated to the work of the ministry came as the apostles fasted and prayed: “As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them” (Acts 13:2).
The apostles could hear the voice of the Holy Spirit clearly, and they understood Him, because they were praying and fasting. Fasting gets you attuned to God; it’s a way of turning your spirit and mind away from the carnal things of this world in order to focus them on the Lord. That means you put away the secular magazines, films, TV shows etc., and set your heart and your mind on the Word in study, meditation and prayer.
As you do this, the flesh is subdued as your spirit fellowships with God. Therefore, when you pray, you’re able to utter words inspired of the Holy Spirit. Fasting basically reconditions your human spirit and makes you receptive to God’s guidance. He may have tried to lead or guide you in a certain way, yet you failed to decipher His signals. But when you fast and pray, you’re repositioned, and your spiritual re-orientation allows the Holy Spirit to minister to you in line with His perfect will.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the blessings and spiritual benefits of prayer and fasting, which help me to be effective in the things of the Spirit; my ability to hear and receive from you is sharpened. I’m more attuned to the finer signals and instructions of the Spirit that I need for a higher level of life; a life of continuous glory and success, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
